Share
HMT (Hindustan Machine Tools) Watches were the first watch manufacturers of an Independent India. They worked under the government and started manufacturing watches since 1963. They had a lull in the middle but since the past 2-3 years they're again going strong as people are getting re-introduced to this amazing brand and it's history.
This particular model, the HMT Pilot, was the official timekeeper of the Indian Air force, particularly the fighter pilots in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. HMT watches are a huge part of the horological as well as general history of India.
